Welcome our Newest Member to the JFON Family!

Just Neighbors of Virginia becomes our 15th site!

We are delighted to welcome Just Neighbors Ministry as the newest site within the JFON network.  Just Neighbors, a Northern Virginia ministry within the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, serves hundreds of low-income immigrant clients each year through its team of staff attorneys and vast volunteer network.

Just Neighbors, founded in 1996, was actually the model for the JFON network when JFON began in 1999. While JFON and Just Neighbors have collaborated informally for years, both organizations are excited about the new growth opportunities that this formal partnership will yield.

“Having served as the executive director of Just Neighbors from 2006-2012, I know first-hand what a tremendous boost this affiliation will be for the JFON network,” says NJFON’s executive director, Rob Rutland-Brown.  “We will become stronger through their expertise, particularly their proficiency in working with volunteer attorneys.”

Allison Rutland Soulen, the executive director of Just Neighbors, is also enthusiastic.  “Just Neighbors is pleased to become a part of Justice for Our Neighbors!” Allison exclaims. “Our attorneys are thrilled at the networking opportunities.  And our board and administrative staff look forward to development and administrative support that is targeted to organizations with a mission similar to our own. “

Just Neighbors is now the 15th site in the JFON network.
