CBP One App: Migrants Speak

On Friday, April 19, at 4:00 p.m. (ET), please join ILJ Network—and our partners—for an insightful webinar on the harrowing difficulties of asylum seekers confronting the U.S. asylum system at the southern border.

Our own Co-Executive Director, Alba Jaramillo, and several other actors from Teatro Dignidad will perform a scene (in English) from Dos Nogales, a new play by internationally acclaimed Mexican playwright Hugo Salcedo. The author was inspired by his interviews with asylum seekers in Nogales, Mexico.

Following the performance, several migrant guest speakers from the Mexican side of the border will share their experiences on the struggles and dangers they face while waiting for an opportunity to enter the United States.

This is a free event and open to the public.
